Our fleet has the most beautiful ships at sea, and the three newest vessels setting sail in 2021, 2022 and 2023 will be no exception. This first, early rendering depicts the magnificent exterior of the next Disney ships, which will elevate family cruise vacations to a whole new level. The rendering was revealed today by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger at The Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting.
In keeping with the distinct Disney Cruise Line style, the new ships will embody the elegance and romance of the golden age of ocean cruising with unique touches all their own. The three new vessels will offer more innovation, new technologies, spectacular entertainment and more Disney stories and characters than ever before. Ingenuity and innovation from stem to stern will amaze and delight Disney Cruise Line guests of all ages.
On our new ships, we will bring Disney’s iconic stories and franchises to life in thrilling and surprising ways, building on the creativity we’ve introduced across our existing fleet. Just over the past several years we have added innovations such as Marvel and Star Wars themed spaces in our kids’ clubs…dazzling stage shows like “Beauty and the Beast” that are unrivaled in their originality and visual presentation…and an entirely new genre of dining experience combining live entertainment, storytelling and interactive moments at our Tiana’s Place and Rapunzel’s Royal Table restaurants.
Each new ship will be approximately 140,000 gross tons – slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy – and each is currently planned to include about 1,250 guest staterooms. While design plans, ship names and itineraries are still in development, we are already dreaming up exciting new ways to create the world’s most magical oceangoing adventures.
These new vessels will be powered by one of the cleanest-burning fuels available, liquefied natural gas, or LNG.
You might say Disney Cruise Line is on the threshold of reimagining the cruise industry once again, just like we did in 1998 with our very first ship. I couldn’t be more excited about the expansion of our fleet, and I know our guests will be, too.

We are very exited! I agree with others that it would be nice to have an area for “college age” kids. Once you turn 18, you don’t automatically feel comfortable hanging out with 30+ year olds. Yes, there are meet ups for that age but why not a place to just hang out?
When will the inaugural itineraries be released for the 2021 cruises? My boys are hoping for the Baltics.
Our family just completed a Trans Atlantic Cruise on the Magic. This was our 5th Cruise with Disney. Absolutely FANTASTIC!! Can’t wait for new ships and new adventures.

I would also like to see much more activities and things for 18-21 year olds to do. I was recently on the Disney Dream for my 18th Birthday. Though it was fun, I did feel bored and sort of lost. So there should be a specific club for 18-21 year olds just as the teens and tweens have on board.
Um, all of the lounges are 18+ only in the evening, I’m not sure why another ‘area’ is needed. There are scheduled meetups for that demographic or you can create one. I’m on the Wonder right now and that age range seems pretty happy from what I’ve seen.
I am very excited! I heard that one of the ship’s destinations will be Boston. Is that true? If so, you will see me as a Cast Member greeting people at the dock! I can’t move south for a few years!
I agree with Anthony regarding 18-21 year olds. Disney is losing this cruising demographic. My son is hesitant to even go on another Disney cruise for fear of being bored. That means we don’t go either. Please don’t make us switch cruise lines!
I hope that an area dedicated to the 17 to 21 year olds will be included on the be ships as currently on the existing ships there is nothing dedicated to this age group

Love Disney Cruiseline, been on over 10 cruises and on all 4 but like others had said the Dream and Fantasy is too big, with a hugh price tag. Had to do another cruise line for Alaska and Hawaii. Suggest you update the Magic and Wonder so that you can keep your regulars cruisers
Shouldn’t a ‘first look’ have pictures, artist renderings, or sketches to ‘look’ at?
Disney you do it right. Only cruise line I’ve ever taken and now all of my kids are adults and they still want to take Disney cruises. Well into Platinum status (don’t know the exact number of cruises I’ve taken) and I haven’t had a bad experience. It’s worth every penny. Excited for the new ships and new adventures! See you on the 31st for a Western Caribbean!
Please bring back Hawaii. Leave a ship on the west coast to do this.

Looking forward to seeing more Disney ships in the ocean. We just came back from a cruise on the Dream. We’ve sailed before on the Wonder … the Dream was HUGE! I can’t imagine larger Disney ships – you’ll get lost 🙂
I hope prices will be reduced on the older ships with the increase in inventory. We’re DVC members and loved Disney cruises, but we were priced out of them. I understand it’s supply and demand and Disney will charge what people are willing to pay. However, we were on the Magic Jan ’15 for $4100. Same cruise, same category room Jan ’17 was $7k. We switched to another line and have been loving it. I would just like to do Disney 1 more time while the kids are still young.
Really looking forward to seeing the three new liners, so far we have cruised on The Wonder twice, The Magic three times, our first time on The Fantasy this year and # 4 on the Magic later in the year.
There are other cruise lines, then there is Disney Cruise Lines “Nobody does it Better”

When is Disney Cruise Line going to announce the names of the next 3 Disney Cruise Ships coming 2021, 2022, and 2023?

I was hoping for 2 ships inbetween the smaller ships Magic/Wonder and Dream/Fantasty. Then one Mega ship like every other cruise line. You go on these Mega ships once and then go back to the smaller ones. I was hoping Disney would set itself apart from the others and NOT build the Mega ships. Sorry they did not poll the people who sail Disney and their interest.
I can’t get excited about this and I want to. I personally feel these ships are to big. I’ll stick to the Magic and Wonder for as long as I can.
I tried to book an inaugural cruise, but they are not accepting those types of reservations yet.
